A Nifty Way to Store Jewelry!

Hi everyone!


Today I've got a nifty way to store necklaces, bracelets, and other kinds of jewelry to share with you.

I came across this idea probably a year ago as I scrolled through Pinterest. I forgot about it, and then as I've been doing some major spring cleaning, I thought about it again and decided to try it out.

All you have to do is purchase a towel rack of some sort, can get them fairly cheap. I got mine at Ikea for like $7-$9.

I've had an absolutely crazy past couple of weeks with introducing food back into my life, to FINALLY cleaning my room, to dealing with my mom not being here for close to 3 weeks. Read 2+ books/ Spend less time online.

Last month, I was a little ambitious with this one. So I decided to dial it back a bit and have the goal to read at least 2 books this month. I'm hoping this will help me not spend so many hours a day online.

Continue to post regularly.

I hope to continue to post at least once or twice (or maybe more!) a week like I did in March. 

Clean room.

This WILL happen by the end of April. No excuses.

March Report Card

Happy Easter everyone! :)
I hope you all had a great day with family and friends. Because what great day it was to celebrate- that He has Risen... He has Risen, Indeed! Hallelujah, hallelujah!!

On to this month's report card...

Keeping Up With My "God Time": I actually did a decent job this month and for the past two weeks, its just become routine and a must for me to have my daily time with God before I do anything else. It also helps that I have a awesome devotional too! Jesus Calling has turned out to be awesome! I just might do a blog post on it in the future, who knows!
Grade: B+

Read 3-4 Books: Total fail. I've been so infatuated with this whole "blogging" thing that I haven't done much reading besides my daily devotional time. I actually just started reading one of Ron Rhodes books a few days ago, but that's about it. But I hope to put this on my resolutions list for next month and get back into my groove of reading again!

Elemental Diet: 5 weeks down, 3 weeks to go!

I'm here with an update on the elemental diet I've been on.

For a bit of background info, I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease about 4 and a half years ago. Within the past year, my Crohn's took a turn for the worse in May of 2012 after having surgery prior in October 2011 (we thought this surgery was suppose to solve all my problems). The doctor recommended I'd be put on Remicade and we were not happy with that option. So my parents & I decided to try an alternative treatment and we decided to take up the advice of a family friend who is a chiropractor. After about 7-8 months of trying the treatment, it didn't seem to work. So I was getting ready to go back to my doctor, when something truly God-given happened. After e-mailing Kelli Taylor from She Learns As She Goes, she told me about a website called Listen To Your Gut.

After checking out the website and some of Jini Patel Thompson's books, I decided to try the IBD Remission Diet and as of today, I've completed a 5 weeks of the diet.

Review: Just bought both of these polishes from Ulta. OPI "Suzi's Hungary Again!" is from their Euro Centrale Collection. It's a bit of a streaky nail polish but after a second coat, you're good to go.

Getting to Know Me

Hi there,

I continue to make posts on this blog then delete them because in my mind, they're "stupid" or "dumb".  I'm trying to figure out how I should go about introducing this blog, because even as I'm typing this I'm becoming scatter-brained with so many thoughts and points I want to make that I don't know where to start. So I think a good way for me to start would be to give a few facts about myself so, here we go:

1. I love Jesus with all my heart. 
2. My family and friends really do mean the world to me. They have been a constant support and always love me.
3. I watch way too many makeup tutorials & love reading about beauty but I don't actually like putting in the effort to put on makeup or wearing it that much. I have to be in the mood.
4. I love that I live near Chicago. I like that I live near a big city without actually living a city life (typical suburbanite).
5. I'm infatuated with all things Hawaii- the islands, the beaches, the lifestyle, the culture, etc. I wish I could go there more often.
6. I enjoy trying to get those around me to laugh. It, in return, makes me happy. 
7. I have a bit of a nail polish addiction. However, I think putting on nail polish is a total pain but I do it anyway.
